On a built-in, warm air is usually a moving-air or defrost problem long before it is a compressor problem — and the frost pattern inside tells you which.

Defrost circuit: heater, sensor or control
Frost creeping up the rear wall or across the drawers means the evaporator is icing and the air can no longer get through it. The fresh-food side drifts warm first while the freezer still holds.

A blocked drain and its heater clip
Water pooling under the crispers, or a sheet of ice on the cabinet floor, is a drain packed with sludge — often with the small drain heater clip slipped out of position behind the panel.

Condenser side: fan, coil, door seal
A compressor that never cycles off is usually being asked to reject heat through a dusty coil or with a failing fan. Denver air is dry enough that gaskets go hard and stop sealing, which does the same thing.
Worth knowing. A freezer that still holds while the fresh-food section climbs is good news: the sealed system is working, and the fault is on the air or defrost side of it.
